I want to rejoin

After leaving Emerson (the Company)

If you’re re-employed by Emerson after leaving, you’ll automatically be auto-enrolled back into the UK Pension Plan (DC section) after:

  • You’ve been working at the Company for three years or more
  • You’re working or ordinarily working in the UK
  • You have monthly earnings above £833.33 before tax and National Insurance
  • You may also opt to join the Plan before being automatically enrolled from the 1st of the month following your new employment – for example, if you joined the Company on the 10 February, you will be enrolled on the 1 March

After opting-out of the Plan

If you chose for any reason to opt-out or withdraw from the Plan, there are two ways that you can rejoin.

  1. At three year intervals (the next being on 1 October 2022), you’re automatically re-enrolled back into the UK Pension Plan and you therefore don’t need to take any action.
  2. You can apply to rejoin sooner through your HR department. Buck will ask if you wish to continue to pay towards your existing pension fund or open a new one.
